The Rector
Over the past 92 years, our university has evolved from a pedagogical institute to a multidisciplinary classical university. This university has developed strong scientific and pedagogical schools that are well-known in our country and beyond.

KBSU is a major university complex that amalgamates multidisciplinary multilevel institutions that implement programs of higher, secondary, postgraduate, and additional professional education.

About the University

Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov is a major higher education institution in the region, which teaches over 20,000 students, including over 2,000 foreign students. KBSU marks its 92nd anniversary this year.

It has joined the Priority 2030 program to boost and innovate educational and research activities. The results of participation in the program include enjoying new labs, launching research programs, and innovative developments.

The university comprises 11 institutes, 1 medical academy, and 4 colleges, which offer excellent education and drive scientific research in a supportive environment.

Campus

Spanning 41.4 hectares, the KBSU campus accommodates 34 buildings with classrooms, lecture halls, libraries, laboratories, offices, conference rooms, cafeterias, a sports hall, and 12 residence halls—mainly corridor-type—for students, teachers, and professors.

Housing

There are 12 student dormitories with a total of 3,833 beds and two types of housing: corridor-type and unit-type dorms. Residents can use their energy-intensive devices and enjoy Internet services. The educational buildings are located just around the corner.

University Clinic

The university clinic occupies a new two-story building that features cutting-edge diagnostic, laboratory, and therapeutic medical equipment and provides excellent medical services to university students.

Sports Facilities

The KBSU sports infrastructure includes a stadium with natural turf and running tracks, a synthetic mini-football field, a fitness center with a swimming pool, and five sports halls in the academic buildings.
