About the training program

Training of highly qualified specialists who meet modern international requirements in the field of higher medical education. Specialists who have a high level of competence in carrying out preventive and anti-epidemiological measures to prevent the emergence of infectious diseases, are able to prescribe treatment for patients according to the diagnosis, to carry out rehabilitation measures for those who have undergone somatic diseases, injuries and surgical intervention. Specialists capable of solving issues of economics, organisation and management in the field of health care.

What will they teach you?

  • Collection and medico-statistical analysis of information on health indicators characterising the health status of the population of different age and sex groups
  • Examination of temporary incapacity for work and participation in other types of medical expertise
  • Maintaining medical records in medical organisations
  • Diagnosis of diseases and pathological conditions of patients; - Diagnosis of emergency conditions
  • Prevention of diseases among the population through preventive and anti-epidemic measures
  • Provision of primary medical and sanitary care in outpatient and day hospital settings
  • Participation in the provision of emergency medical care for conditions requiring urgent medical intervention
  • Participation in medical rehabilitation and sanatorium-resort treatment programmes
  • Provision of primary medical and sanitary care for sudden acute diseases, conditions and exacerbations of chronic diseases that are not life-threatening and do not require emergency medical care
  • Developing motivation in the population, patients and their families to preserve and improve their own health and the health of those around them
  • Application of the basic principles of organising the provision of medical care in medical organisations and their structural subdivisions
  • Creation of favourable conditions in medical organisations for patients and medical staff to work in

What do graduates do?

Graduates can carry out professional activity in various directions: education and science (in the sphere of scientific research); health care (in the sphere of rendering primary medical and sanitary aid to the population in medical organisations: polyclinics, outpatient clinics, in-patient and polyclinic institutions of the municipal health care system and medical and preventive institutions rendering primary medical and sanitary aid to the population); administrative, managerial and office activity (in the sphere of activity of health care organisations); administrative, managerial and office activity (in the sphere of activity of health care organisations).
